Die erste Skizze für den kleinen Comic.
Eine Woche später habe ich meine Ideenskizze in einen etwas genaueren Comic übersetzt.
Dieser Prozess liesse sich noch lange so fortsetzen z.B in einen präziseren Comic mit oder ohne Farbe, von jemand anderem in seinem Stil oder in einen Scatch etc.

Das digitale Portrait des russischen Schriftstellers Daniil Charms wurde durch Einsetzen der englischen Übersetzung seines Textes “Geschichte der Raufbolde”, entnommen aus dem Buch “Der multiple Roman” von Adam Thirlwell, in den Quellcode des Bildes manipuliert. Die variierende Platzierung des Textauszugs in den Quellcode führt zu immer wieder neuen visuellen Ausgaben des Bildes.

Übersetzung, bei welcher sich die englische Übersetzung von Thirlwell, mit Hilfe von Google Translate, auf eine Reise durch 80 Sprachen begibt (Afrikaans-Zulu). Bei Zulu angekommen, wird der Text zurück in die Ausgangssprache Englisch übersetzt. Anbei den ursprünglichen Text von Thirlwell und das Produkt, welches durch diese Form der Übersetzung entstand.

Übersetzung: Adam Thirlwel – Der multiple Roman
Der Text wurde vom Deutschen ins Englische übersetzt, wobei zunächst nur die Titelüberschrift benutzt wurde. Dabei wurden die Schriftzeichen in Morsezeichen übersetzt, welche hörbar und lesbar sind. Der hörbare Morsecode dient als Takt für das Sichtbare. Jedem Buchstaben wurde eine, mit ihm assoziierte Farbe zugewiesen. Der jeweilige Buchstabe in seiner spezifisch zugeteilten Farbe (gemäss des synästhetischen Verfahrens [1]), ist solange zu sehen, wie der akustische Morsebuchstabe es vorgibt. Das linke Bild zeigt den englischen Titel, das rechte den deutschen.
